About the artist

As a chef, I have dedicated my life to creating unique experiences around food and hospitality. Painting has allowed me to further utilize my creative energy in an un-rushed, deliberate process,  focusing on what is in front of me without the time constraints of the kitchen . My time in kitchens has taught me invaluable lessons in the value of being surrounded by other creative humans, as well as the vulnerability of putting your thoughts on a plate. In the end, watching others consume your ideas and make a memory tied to an experience around food is exceptionally fulfilling, and the reason the toil is worth it.

Food and art are essential to human existence. There is no one that can survive without sustenance, and my career has been devoted to the hope and escape that both art and food can provide.
